Falling into a trap, but at least we made it alive.

Warning, spoilers ahead.

We're already at night two out of three! The campaign heavily nudges you toward playing a scenario called The Longest Night for this second night. It tells you to add permanently a cultist, tablet and elder thing tokens in the bag if you choose another scenario.

You'll realize quickly there are steps in the setup scenario that will have you add these tokens anyway! Maybe you can avoid one with the right dialogue choice, but that's about it.

Consider this. The Longest Night is a survival type of scenario. You need to outlast waves of enemies while protecting a group of innocent people. There's a possibility your characters will be a defeated, you will not get only a trauma for this, but a campaign is over conclusion. 😟 That's why I resigned with both characters in the 7th round out of 10. I knew this would be less damaging than dying.

The scenario offers help in the form of barriers, traps and decoys you can set up by spending clues, while also throwing monsters immune, totally or partially, to these. At least, I managed to kill the big mutated bear for 2 XP. These were the only two points won, making me question the decision of doing this scenario entirely. I also got two story-allies for it, but I remain unconvinced. Also, screw this card.

Frozen in Fear: the first time you perform a move, fight or evade each round, it cost 1 more action.

I usually don't mind this card, but in a scenario where you basically only fight and evade, it's a horrible draw. Obviously, I drew it with BOTH characters in the same round. 😡
